Description The Family Partner is a vital member of the In Home BaseTherapeutic Care (IHTBC) team, offering peer-based support to caregivers raising youth with significant emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. This role is grounded in lived experience—the Family Partner uses their own personal journey navigating child-serving systems to empower, guide, and advocate alongside families. Family Partners work collaboratively with clinicians and young adult peer mentors to help families feel heard, supported, and confident in their ability to navigate services and support their child’s success. What You Will Be Doing to Support Families... · Assist parent/caregiver with meeting the needs of the youth · Educate the parent/caregiver how to navigate the child serving systems and processes · Develop community partnerships with formal and informal community resources thus enabling family access to expanded, ongoing community based services for the children and families · Attend meetings with families (school, clinical, community) to help them prepare, participate, and advocate effectively.
