Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s Degree in a Job Related Field (or equivalent) Required, or Family Services Credential in Lieu of Degree
Bachelor’s Degree in a Job Related Field (or equivalent) Preferred
Two Years of Experience in a Human Services or Head Start Setting
Experience Working with Families in a Supportive Role Including People of Diverse Cultures and Socio-Economic
Backgrounds
Experience with Windows Computer Applications for Word Processing and Data Entry
Prior Supervisory Experience Preferred
Knowledge and Ability to Work with Families Using a Family Centered, Strength Based Approach
Knowledge of Community Resources and Linkages to Locate and Access Resources
Knowledge of Early Childhood Development
Skilled in Communicating with and Motivating People
Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and Family Dynamics
Thorough Knowledge of Windows Application Software and Database Management
Ability to Work as a Team Member with Staff and Parents
Good Organizational Skills and Timely, Accurate Documentation
Ability to Work a Flexible Schedule
Computer Literacy Including Email, Internet Use, and Word Processing
Excellent Interpersonal Skills Including Communication, Listening, and Observation Skills with Sensitivity to
Individual and Cultural Diversity
Ability to Work Cooperatively with Groups of Parents, Supporting Agencies, Staff Members, and Community
