Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing examinations and procedures, prescribing treatments, and promoting preventive health measures. This role ensures high-quality, evidence-based care in compliance with regulatory standards. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Conduct comprehensive physical exams and interpret diagnostic tests. · Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses across patient populations. · Order and interpret laboratory, radiographic, and diagnostic tests. · Formulate differential diagnoses and develop multidisciplinary care plans. · Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in compliance with state and federal regulations. · Provide emergency care and stabilization as needed, following BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and NRP standards. · Deliver inpatient attending coverage when necessary and/or scheduled. · Educate patients, families, and communities on health promotion and disease prevention. · Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. · Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development. · Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards. · Promote patient and staff safety in all aspects of care. Requirements · Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with completed residency. · Current Iowa Medical License, DEA, and CSA registration · Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred. · Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training. · Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills. · Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
