Description Summary of Responsibilities: Family Practice Physician works under the direction of the Director of Health Services and provides primary health care to the patients of the Perkins Family Clinic. Requirements Essential Duties and responsibilities: Includes the following: other duties may be assigned Provides comprehensive primary health care. Makes initial and continuing assessment of patients health status followed by appropriate intervention independently or by collaboration with other physician specialists. Refers patients to appropriate medical facilities or health care providers Collaborates with the Contract Health Services coordinator to provide referral services to specialty clinics/services Physician provides primary care to both Native American and non-Native populations. Obtains staff privileges at a commutable community hospital as required. Qualifications: The applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Applicant must be a Board Certified Family Practice Physician, either Medical Doctor (M.D.) and/or a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) with a minimum of three years in practice preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Applicant must be fully licensed in the State of Oklahoma. License must also carry the designation as a Dispensing Physician. Other Expectations: Applicant must be fully knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of disease management; specifically in staged diabetes management and cardiovascular disease management.
