Description This position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. Catholic Cemeteries of the Diocese of Wilmington is seeking a Family Services Representative who will meet with individuals and families to explain cemetery rules, standard operating procedures, and options for cemetery accommodations, merchandise, and services for both immediate need and pre-planning. The schedule for this full-time position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, but may occasionally require days or times outside the normal work schedule. Essential Functions: Handle pre-interment conference, meet with immediate need families to discuss any previously purchased accommodation and provide all available current options, complete all required paperwork. Handle post-interment conference; meet with family to discuss all available monument options, complete all required paperwork. Handle transactions for payment of accommodations and monuments, complete all required paperwork. Review Church preferences/requirements for burial. Seek referrals and expand client base. Create and attend on-site informational opportunities at area parishes and other appropriate venues. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Business or related field and three years' professional customer service or sales experience in an office setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with soft sales techniques. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to remain professionally compassionate while providing services to distraught families who have lost loved ones. Ability to function professionally both independently and as part of a team. Clear and concise oral and written communication. Possess a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds. Willingness to consent to a satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws. Commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.
