As a Family Support Specialist 2, you’ll be at the heart of a collaborative care team, designing personalized plans and delivering hands-on support that empowers youth to thrive—in their homes, schools, and communities. Your work creates safe, nurturing environments where resilience grows, and futures are reimagined. Starting Salary Range: $20.38 - $22.94 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Empower Families: Assess needs and deliver targeted interventions that strengthen the family system and promote lasting change. Design Impactful Plans: Develop individualized strategies using evidence-based practices to support youth in overcoming challenges. Deliver Direct Support: Provide care in diverse settings including in the home, school, and community, in compliance with agency standards. Collaborate for Success: Partner with treatment teams, supervisors, educators, clinicians, families, and community stakeholders to build comprehensive treatment plans. Meet with assigned Therapist for weekly case consultation, training, and guidance. Documentation: Accurately complete all required documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in compliance with agency standards. Drive Organizational Excellence: Contribute to agency-wide goals through active participation in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) initiatives. Model Professionalism: Represent YBGR with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to its core values. Champion Safety & Compliance: Uphold all organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards. Lead with Initiative: Identify challenges and proactively seek solutions that benefit youth and families. Engage in Growth: Participate in regular supervision, coaching, and ongoing training to enhance your impact. Honor Diversity: Serve with cultural humility and awareness of the socioeconomic backgrounds of those you support. Adapt and Contribute: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the mission of YBGR and client needs. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age. Successful completion of fingerprint criminal background check and child abuse registry clearance as required by the State of Montana. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent combination of education and experience (6 years human services experience = Bachelor’s degree; each year of post-secondary human services education = 1 year experience). Required Abilities/Skills Demonstrated ability to build rapport with youth and families while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and conflict resolution. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a treatment team. Proficiency in electronic documentation, typing at least 35 words per minute; familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 preferred. Consistent attendance and reliability in performance of duties. Sound judgment, ethical decision-making, and the ability to remain composed in high-stress situations. Will be required to drive company or personal vehicle to other YBGR locations and/or families homes, schools, and communities to meet with employees, youth, families, or other stakeholders Commitment to YBGR’s values: Faith, Integrity, Relationship, and Stewardship. Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention certifications.
