To Provide advice and support to people and families with diverse needs, within the home environment and community, in a culturally safe manner.

Requirements:

• Must hold a relevant tertiary level qualification in Education, and/or a Science-related discipline (Physics/Mathematics preferred), with the ability to design and coordinate education and training programs, including those supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Certificate IV in Community Services or above
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt scientific and educational knowledge into practical training programs.
• 1 year experiencesupporting children and families with complex needs
• Work independently with each family to create a support schedule that suits everyone.
• Sound technical and IT skills
• Ability to manage multifaceted tasks and assessments
• Ability to get along with people of all ages and backgrounds
• Understanding of the community’s cultural diversity
• Australian driver’s Licens

• Assists with transporting clients to services and appointments
• Ensures families can access appropriate services, and encourages families and individuals with particular needs to participate in informal discussion, counselling or support groups
• Assists and collaborates with Social and Welfare Workers to develop holistic plans by establishing family assessments, safety plans, goals and interventions to ensure safety and wellbeing, and empower families towards positive change
• Understand local cultures and ability to adapt to different situations quickly
• Ability to work with people & Families with disability
• Must be proficient in English and speak at least one other language
• Have local knowledge of services offered in the Gold Coast Queensland area & also knowledge of local community & neighborhood.
• Willing to take further training

Salary: AU$77000 per year + Superannuation
