We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing assistance and support to families in need, helping them navigate challenges and access necessary resources. EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience working with families in various settings, such as schools, community organizations, or social services.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with families and service providers.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and resourcefulness in overcoming challenges faced by families.

As a Family Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments to identify family needs and strengths.
• Working with MCFD referrals and Self Referral
• Developing individualized support plans tailored to each family’s unique situation.
• Providing guidance and resources to families regarding child development, parenting strategies, and community services.
• Facilitating communication between families and service providers to ensure effective support.
• Assisting families in accessing educational, health, and social services.
• Monitoring progress and adjusting support plans as necessary to meet evolving family needs.
• Maintaining accurate records of interactions and services provided while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
