Description:
Family Support Writer needed for Dallas/Fort Worth foster care and adoption program. The Family Support Writer reports to the Home Development Supervisor.

Core Responsibilities

  • Will conduct both foster care and adoption family assessments for individuals and couples seeking to foster or adopt in accordance with agency expectations and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate effective collaboration across departmental lines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
The Part-time Family Support Writer will work on an independent, hourly basis and will be assigned home assessments as they are needed. Must possess a personal computer and printer with scanning capabilities preferred. Family Support Writer will travel to prospective foster care and adoptive homes within Dallas / Fort Worth program service area.
Requirements:
Minimum qualifications include an advanced degree in social work or a comparable service field and professional liability insurance. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently. Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
