JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a caring and dedicated full-time Family Teacher to provide academic, emotional, and developmental support for school-age children. This role requires close collaboration with schools, tutoring staff, and other family members to create a structured, diverse, and balanced learning and living environment for the child. The ideal candidate will offer personalized academic support (bilingual in English and Chinese), help establish positive daily routines, and promote the child’s holistic development through customized learning and individual guidance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of teaching or tutoring experience, preferably with an international or bilingual school background.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese (both languages are core teaching subjects) and deal with Mandarin speaking stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the Singapore education system and international school curricula.
  • Passion for children’s education, with patience, attentiveness, and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, able to build trust and good relationships with children and parents.
  • Ability to work independently as well as efficiently within a family team.Working hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM; Saturdays arranged flexibly based on interest classes; Thursdays and Sundays off.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily tuition in core subjects as agreed.
  • Develop and customize lesson plans tailored to the children’s school curriculum and individual learning needs.
  • Monitor academic progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
  • Prepare the children for school examinations and assessments.
  • Cultivate effective study habits, discipline, and a love for learning.
  • Assist with homework, projects, and revision planning.
  • Communicate with parents on academic performance, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
  • Maintain a structured daily learning routine in coordination with the family’s schedule.Coordinate with other tutors to track and align the children’s overall learning progress.
