Savio is hiring family therapists! Savio will pay for training for therapists to provide Multisystemic Therapy. Description MST (Multisystemic Therapy) is a scientifically proven treatment model that targets youth 12-17 who are exhibiting delinquent-type behaviors such as running away, substance use, defiance, aggression, and truancy. Therapists work closely with parents and caregivers to leverage change by working in families’ homes and in the community. This position provides in-home services for the Colorado Springs area. Learn more about this treatment model at https://www.mstservices.com/ What does an MST therapist do? Maintain a small, intensive caseload of 5-6 families. Conduct therapy in the community, in families’ homes. Use the following theories: CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Behavior Modification, Structural and Strategic Family Therapies. Prevent out-of-home placement/incarceration. Break the cycle of system involvement Empower families to create lasting change Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment. Meet weekly for group supervision and expert consultation. People who are a good fit for MST: Are flexible and self-motivated. Gravitate towards action-oriented and solution-focused therapy. Recognize how social systems/ecology impact youth behavior. Have a passion for engaging parents struggling with teens’ behavioral issues. Are comfortable with in-home therapy.
