Our Children’s Services team is leading the way with exciting developments to further improve the lives of children and families. The Family Hubs in Blackpool bring together a range of services for children aged 0-19 (25 with SEND), including the Start for Life offer. The Parenting Team form an integral part of this offer, delivering a wide range of Evidence Based group programmes for parents, to assist them in their parenting journey.
We are currently seeking motivated Family Workers to join our Parenting Team. The Family Workers will support the planning and delivery of Evidence Based group programmes; including screening requests for the programmes, delivering the content, supporting parents through the programmes utilising a self-regulatory framework, analysing the progress made and signposting parents to further services (where required).
The Family Workers will also undertake specialist Parenting Assessments utilising the ParentAssess Assessment Framework, with families who are being supported by Children’s Services, in order to gain a holistic view of the family’s needs and identify the families support needs. We are looking for Family Workers who are experts in engaging families and other agencies to ensure that families receive the right support, in the right place and at the right time.
