As a Farm assistant you must have previous farm experience.

You will be self-motivated, eager to learn, and interested in assisting students on a large school farm. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team, working in the dairy, hay making, shearing, cattle, cropping and all aspects of fencing and farm maintenance. At times you will be required to assist with the data entry of livestock records, including animal movements, animal health, feeding, commodities and stocktake. 

A background in beef, sheep, cropping and experience with agricultural machinery, or mechanical industries (e.g. irrigation) is essential, along with a positive attitude, problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
