JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the pig farm. This role requires physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Farm Laborer will engage in various agricultural activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.

SKILLS

• You must be hard working and able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Telehandler experience preferred but not essential as training can be given.
• Must have a driving licence.
• Understanding of animal care practices is beneficial but not essential as training will be given.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the day.
• Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

• Provide care for animals and ensuring feeding/drinking systems are working.
• Assist with the bedding up of livestock.
• Loading/unloading of animals onto livestock vehicles.
• Power washing of pig buildings prior to restocking.
• Washing down of slurry pits.
• Assist with the sorting of pigs into their correct size groups.
• Engage in heavy lifting tasks associated with farm operations.
• Power washing of work areas and equipment.
• Assist with the upkeep of the farm to ensure a clean and tidy environment.
• Lawn mowing/strimming of grass areas around the farm.
