Are you a skilled Maintenance professional with a passion for sustainable agriculture? Our client is a large, growing farm dedicated to providing fresh, locally grown greens to our community. We are seeking a diligent and experienced Farm Maintenance Technician to play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Hours are 6:00AM-2:30PM Tuesday-Saturday, and off days are Sunday/Monday.Pay starts at $25-$27 BOE.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of trade school, or equivalent military/work experience
• Ability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays as required
• Climb steps
• Lift 50 pounds and maintain balance
• Ability to perform duties in extreme varying temperatures
• Crawl over, under and into equipment within company LOTO procedures as necessary to perform job duties
• Work from ladders and lifts
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) Preferred not required
• Associates Degree in a technical or industrial field.
• Food or agriculture industry experience
• Understanding of advanced industrial electrical systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage from 24V to 480V

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all farm equipment, including specialized machinery used for growing and harvesting greens.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance of our vital equipment.
• Maintain the farm’s infrastructure, including greenhouses, irrigation systems, and other structures.
• Help manage and organize maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with the Farm Manager and production team to ensure efficient and timely repairs.
• Performs all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices safety, conduct sanitation, and good housekeeping.
• Must be able to work at heights from ladders, and scaffolding in a safe manner.
• Must be able to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles ( Fork truck, aerial lift, etc.)
• Repairs or replaces defective electrical, plumbing, or mechanical components
• Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site, including conveyor systems, packaging equipment, palletizers, etc.
• Disassembles, replaces, or repairs mechanical and electrical components
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, encoders, etc.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, software, and Programmable Logic Controls
• Provide technical assistance when problems are encountered
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of electrical control systems and equipment
• Maintain electrical, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations
• Know and understand method and sequence of operations for troubleshooting and testing equipment
