Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Farm Manager to join our team and take the lead in the day-to-day management and strategic development of our farming operations. As Farm Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the farm, including staff supervision, planning and coordinating farming activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining high standards across the operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organise, and oversee daily farm activities.
  • Manage, lead, and motivate a team of farm workers.
  • Keep accurate records of production, costs, and compliance.
  • Supply cover for Assistant Farm Manager during absence and holidays.
  • Monitor and Maintain bird health, welfare and compliance.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are set up, maintained and safe.
  • Attend day old deliveries.
  • Supervise catching.
  • To check weigh birds as required.
  • Administer routine vaccines and appropriate treatments where required.
  • Monitor feed, gas, bedding and wood pellet deliveries.
