About the role

Mitolo Family Farms, a leading Riverland grower cropping 2,100 acres annually of potatoes and onions, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Farm Manager for our property at Overland Corner. You'll work closely with the Farm Manager as part of a team of three running operations across planting, growing, harvest, and storage, using our John Deere and Grimme fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planting, irrigation, and crop maintenance for potatoes and onions
• Oversee operations and maintenance of farm machinery
• Supervise farm staff and seasonal workers, including rostering
• Manage harvest logistics and storage conditions to maintain produce quality
• Maintain farm records and support WHS and quality compliance
• Step in for the Farm Manager as needed

About you

• Experience in broadacre or horticultural farming, ideally potatoes and/or onions
• Hands-on experience with John Deere and/or Grimme machinery
• Strong leadership skills and experience supervising a team
• Current driver's licence
• Flexibility for extended hours in peak season

• Salary package of $100,000–$140,000 (dependent on experience)
