The Foyle Food Group are seeking a Farm Manager to manage a large-scale Beef unit and research facility on the outskirts of Cookstown. Reporting directly to the senior management team in the Foyle Food Group, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day effective management and co-ordination of all farm activities. We are looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious, and experienced individual to lead our team running this farm, which is a key part of our wider beef business.
Essential Criteria
· Extensive experience of ruminant livestock farming
· Previous experience managing the day-to-day farm team and resources
· Competent in the use of herd management and Government software
· Previous experience managing farm strategies / development plans / research projects
· Excellent stockmanship paying particular attention to animal health
· Previous experience managing farm maintenance / repairs / preventative maintenance activities and completion of paperwork accurately on a timely basis
· Ability to work on your own initiative
· Access to your own transport and ability to travel independently
· Flexible approach to working hours
