JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our sod farm. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of farming practices, and the ability to operate and care for farm equipment including tractors and attachments, skidsteer and harvester. This role requires hands-on involvement in various farming activities, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in farm management or a similar role within the agricultural sector.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by various farming tasks.
• Proficient in basic math for calculating crop yields, expenses, and other operational metrics.
• Familiarity with irrigation techniques and systems.
• Experience with garden management is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively lead staff and coordinate with suppliers.
