About the role

Reporting to the Business Manager, this role involves supervising farm operations on a 200-hectare family dairy farm milking 600 mostly Friesian cows in a rotary dairy with a split calving herd. You will work across a wide range of areas including herd health, pasture rotation, dairy operations, and irrigation management.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage farm team members
  • Manage herd health and pasture rotation
  • Oversee dairy operations
  • Manage irrigation systems
  • Conduct general farm activities

About you

  • Demonstrated experience and achievement in a medium or large enterprise in a supervisory role
  • A track record of effective supervisory skills
  • Experience in herd health, pasture rotation, dairy operations, and irrigation
  • An agricultural degree or other certification is advantageous
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Current driver's licence
  • A demonstrated commitment to improvement and learning

Wickams Creek Pastoral is a 200-hectare family farm that's been in the family for 45 years.
