The Perry family operate a dairy at Tatura in the Goulburn Murray Valley.

 We currently have a position available:

Dairy Cattle Farmer – duties include but are not limited to:

·        Milk harvesting following our milking procedures

·        Keep accurate records

·        Maintain herd health

·        Assist veterinarians with cattle health when/if required

·        Assist with calf management – feeding, weighing, vaccinating when required

·        Assist with AI breeding program

·        Supervise the milking procedures

·        Analyse herd recording data

·        Assist consultants with nutrition and milk production

The successful applicant will be required to have a Bachelor Degree or 5 years relevant work experience

The dairy enterprise is a 750 cow property which has 50% Spring calving, 40% Autumn calving & 10% Summer calving with a 50 bale rotary dairy.

Consisting of 200ha with 140ha irrigated and a support block of 200ha.

The successful applicant will need to have a passion for this industry, must have a good grasp of the English language, will be required to work as a part of a team and have great attention to detail.

Job Type:    Full time permanent

Salary:           $77k - $90k per year
