Primary Duties:

• Managing the day-to-day farming operations (planting, spraying, harvesting)
• Co-ordinating and carrying out all planting and harvesting activities
• Manage irrigation and paddock preparation
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all farm equipment, infrastructure, and facilities
• Oversee harvesting, post-harvest handling, packaging and dispatch of produce (ready for markets)
• Supervise and mentor farm staff
• Potential opportunity to work with the stock
• Ability to understand and operate various types of agri-machinery
• Coordinate the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and industry standards
• Deliver product to markets

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Minimum 3 years’ farm management or supervisory experience in agriculture / horticulture.
• Forklift license
• Minimum MR License (HR preferred)
• Chemcert Certificate
• Tractor Experience
• Agriculture and Horticulture experience
• Livestock handling experience is advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
