Description The Farm Market Driver is responsible for the daily transportation of the mobile Farm Market to each market site. Additional responsibilities include: warehouse, serving diverse groups of people and communities, ensuring safe, timely and efficient market operations at each site as assigned by their daily route and schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows assigned route and schedule arriving at each market site on time; Helps to identify potential locations for new market sites Provide exemplary customer service to diverse groups of people and communities Responsible for recording all sales in Point-of-Sale (POS) system Daily Farm Market stock/restock and inventory control Assist pulling warehouse orders Responsible for the proper use, care and working condition of the warehouse and all equipment Observes all safety policies and procedures as required by FeedMore WNY policies and DOT regulations Assist with any and all mission work as needed and requested with some or no prior notice including, but not limited to: serving as a truck spotter, helping with Farm Market/Community Garden/Freight Farms/on and off-site food distributions, preparation of meals and serving home-delivered meals. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, looking for opportunities to improve and promote quality. Point-of-sale Proficiency: ability to use iPad to record transactions. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with a good driving record, be willing to drive the Farm Market vehicle within FeedMore WNY’s service area when needed. This position regularly requires the individual to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs. Supports the FeedMore WNY’s organization mission to fight hunger among the less fortunate. May perform administrative support for department. Assists with other duties and projects as requested. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Excellent interpersonal, presentation and public relations skills Current & valid NYS driver’s license and access to an automobile Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Current ServSafe or other food safety certification Previous volunteer experience at FeedMore WNY Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative Ability to learn new computer software programs. Able to take initiative and work independently. Ability to adapt and grow in an expanding program.
