FARM OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN / SKILLED STOCKPERSON
Location: Bicton Campus
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience
Terms & Conditions: Full Time (45 hours/52 weeks), Support Contract
Accommodation: Rentable Onsite accommodation available if required by separate tender

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Practical knowledge and experience with livestock, particularly dairy, is essential.
· Confident in carrying out fieldwork tasks such as grassland management, cultivation, and farm maintenance activities.
· Experience operating and maintaining farm machinery, including tractors, telehandlers, and cultivation equipment.
· Passion for education and supporting learners is highly valued.
· Flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous learning (training opportunities available and encouraged).
· Great communication and teamwork skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist with the daily care, management, welfare of livestock and associated tasks across the range of enterprises.
· Duties will include milking, lambing & calving, calf rearing, feeding, health care and record keeping
· Support learners in developing practical skills and confidence in farm operations.
· Maintain high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, and farm safety.
· Operate farm machinery to high standards and assist with general farm maintenance tasks and fieldwork.
· Work closely with a proactive, knowledgeable team committed to delivering an outstanding student experience.
