JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for livestock and a strong commitment to maintaining the health and productivity of our ranch. This role involves a variety of tasks that support the daily operations of the ranch, ensuring that livestock are well cared for while also maintaining equipment, property, and facilities.
Gas will be compensated for duties where own vehicle is required. This does not include transportation from home to ranch or ranch to home.

SKILLS

• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
• Strong maintenance skills for upkeep of ranch infrastructure.
• Proficiency in operating farm machinery safely.
• Familiarity with hand tools for various maintenance tasks.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
• Competence in operating heavy equipment when required.
• Experience with power tools for maintenance projects.

• Assist in the daily care of livestock, including feeding, watering, cleaning and monitoring health.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Perform irrigation tasks to ensure plants in garden receive adequate water supply.
• Conduct regular maintenance as needed on ranch facilities, including fencing, barns, and storage areas.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for various maintenance tasks around the ranch.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks as required for moving supplies or equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records related to farm operations.
• Pick up orders of animal feed from nearby supplier.
• Take loads of garbage to the nearby dump.
• Pick up animal bedding and hay.
• Pick up gas and oil for farm equipment.
