Gates Farm Shop Oakham is a large, traditional farm shop located at Gates Garden Centre in Cold Overton near Oakham. We are looking for a food orientated individual, with a passion for retail and customer service, to join our expanding team and assist in the day to day running of farm shop operations.
Reporting to the Farm Shop Manager, you will be tasked with supervising the shop floor and ensuring company policies and legal requirements are adhered to. You will be adaptable within this large family-run business, with a strong sense of passion and commitment, which are essential for this role.

• Wide ranging retail deputy manager role
• Supporting the Farm Shop Manager with day-to-day operations
• Working to strict targets and deadlines
• Ensuring the customer experience is one that they will want to return for
• Helping to maximise sales opportunities through visual merchandising
• Motivating, managing and training a small, dedicated team
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Managing stock control/rotation
• Supervising the Goods-in team and process, including checking deliveries for accuracy and dealing with paperwork/credit notes
• Liaising with other departments regarding deliveries in and out
• Assisting with ordering
