WELCOME TO OAKES FARM SHOP!

We are looking for an ambitious and creative Retail Team Leader to join our retail team in our Farm Shop. You will be assisting the retail manager with the day to day running of our retail department, providing outstanding customer service at all times and ensuring a positive customer experience .
This role is perfect for someone with a flare in retail, looking for a new challenge to develop the retail area of our business.

Responsibilities

· To assist the Retail Manager with leading, inspiring and managing the retail team
· Drive sales in retails with innovative ideas
· Serving customers on the tills and answering any customer queries
· Delegate daily tasks to the retail team
· Ensuring products are properly stocked and organised on shelves and tables
· Overseeing deliveries upon arrival, ensuring all correct stock has arrived, highlighting any discrepancies and organising where stock is to go.
· Placing daily bread and pastry orders via email, ensuring correct stock is ordered
· Assisting with the merchandising throughout the shop, creating displays and promotions to attract customers

· Supporting staff training and performance management

  • Encouraging excellent customer service at all times, leading by example

· Working in line with the business’ health & safety and food hygiene standards
· Placing daily, weekly, fortnightly and ad hoc orders via phone, email and/or online.
· Getting the retail shop ready for opening, ensuring a welcoming environment
· Closing the retail shop
· Good knowledge of EPOS
· Ensuring stock is kept accurate and up to date on EPOS
· Can work well independently and delegate relevant tasks to the team
· Can solve problems independently, finding cost and time effective solutions when necessary
· Ensuring all staff are working to company standards and addressing any issues if applicable.
