We are on the hunt for a new Merchandise Planner that is an eclectic mix of a strategic problem-solver and creative analytical thinker who loves our product. As a planner you will analyse and forecast financial and product trends, review the performance of our products, and make sure that sufficient stock is available. You will also work with brands and suppliers to negotiate price structures, delivery dates, specific merchandise requirements and contracts so that we continue to meet our goals. As a merchandise planner, you are key in rolling out company-wide projects and have a keen eye for process improvement and streamlining – our ideal candidate is dedicated to efficiency and loves numbers.

Duties & Responsibilities include;

  • OTB and budget management, including forecasting of sale and purchase orders based past analytics.
  • Achieve critical financial targets such as sale, GP and stock turn.
  • Analysing stock on hand, identifying under/over ordered styles.
  • Detailed analysis on a style across category, design, colour and size OR monitoring each style based on weekly stock levels, sales performance, best seller repeats and action accordingly.
  • Preparing bi-weekly, weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual reports.

About you;

  • You have a thorough understanding of systems, merchandising processes and tasks, with an approach of best practice.
  • A proactive attitude, always looking to improve processes or bring increased efficiencies to your work.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to adapt your style depending on your audience.
  • Works well under pressure and able to manage changing priorities in your workload.
  • Develops a comprehensive knowledge of systems and processes and internal/external impacts on them.
  • Has an excellent understanding of retail math and Excel.
  • Understands how to keep track of department KPIs and identify any concerns/anomalies with the forecast by reviewing reports.
  • Embodies our CKM Principles.
