REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential setting
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and care planning
  • Proven track record of leading teams and improving outcomes for young people
  • Driver with access to own vehicle
  • Passion for making a lasting difference in children’s lives

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Home Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it meets the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance in line with Ofsted requirements. You’ll play a key role in shaping the culture, recruiting your own team, and embedding a child-centred ethos throughout.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Register with Ofsted and maintain compliance with all relevant legislation
  • Provide leadership and management to a new staff team
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve Good and Outstanding outcomes
  • Work closely with placing authorities, external partners, and families
  • Monitor safeguarding, quality assurance, and risk management across the home
  • Lead with integrity, compassion, and ambition
