A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER As a professional in hospitality management, you play a key role in running our bar and food service. The outlets you help manage include beverage carts, a snack bar, the pool service area, and our indoor and outdoor dining areas. You direct service on the floor during busier times and ensure product quality and service standards are met to make dining at Riverside an enjoyable experience for our members. By gathering feedback from customers and employees, you consistently implement service improvement ideas and develop new concepts to ensure customer satisfaction and increase our business. You assist with ongoing training by providing pre-shift meetings, live training, and training videos. By keeping track of inventory, you ensure materials are always well-stocked and put in orders when needed. You also assist with creating revenue-generating food and beverage programs by targeting sales opportunities through promotions and special events. When performing all tasks, you always adhere to our safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage, and alcoholic beverage control policies. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER 2+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry ServSafe alcohol (or equivalent) certification within 90 days of employment Valid driver's license Ability to resolve customer issues and complaints as well as make the right decisions quickly Ability to work long days and non-traditional hours Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong leadership skills
