The Role: The Fulfillment Center Clerk is a hybrid role that combines clerical and operational responsibilities to support the daily functions of the fulfillment center. This position supervises shipping operations, manages inventory and reporting tasks, and ensures compliance with client-specific and company- wide standards. The Clerk plays a key role in maintaining workflow efficiency, safety, and team coordination across multiple clients and departments. What You’ll Do: • Lead and supervise employees in scanning, packaging, and sorting parcels for shipment • Ensure compliance with client-specific pack-out and routing guide requirements • Oversee fulfillment operations for multiple clients on multi-station pack-out lines • Train and monitor shipping team performance and adherence to schedules • Manage daily clerical reports and track non-merchandise inventory • Notify supervisors of operational issues and maintain safety protocols • Meet productivity and accuracy goals • Assist in other departments as needed Who You Are: • Team-oriented with a cooperative and proactive attitude • Detail-oriented with strong math and analytical skills • Strong verbal and written communicator • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and multitask effectively • Comfortable working in both clerical and physical warehouse environments • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement What You’ve Done: • High school diploma or equivalent • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment environment • Experience in a lead or supervisory role • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and basic computer applications • Demonstrated ability to manage reports, inventory, and team performance Nice to Haves: • Previous experience in a fulfillment or shipping lead role • Experience managing multi-client operations • Bilingual communication skills Physical Demands & Working Conditions: • Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods • Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs • Able to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the shift • Able to work overtime and in warehouse conditions (dust, noise, machinery, etc.) 90 Day Performance Metrics: • Achieve 95%+ order accuracy and reporting accuracy • Meet or exceed productivity targets (e.g., shipments processed, reports completed) • Demonstrate consistent adherence to safety and operational protocols • Exhibit reliability in attendance and punctuality • Show initiative in learning new systems and supporting cross-functional teams • Receive positive feedback from peers and supervisors Knowledge: • Understanding of fulfillment center operations, shipping procedures, and clerical workflows • Familiarity with safety protocols and client-specific routing requirements • Ability to read and interpret product, location, and date codes Skills: • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy • Effective time management and task prioritization • Clear verbal and written communication • Basic computer proficiency and report handling • Problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment Abilities: • Physical stamina to perform warehouse tasks and clerical duties • Adaptability to shifting priorities and cross-functional responsibilities • Ability to lead, train, and support team members • Initiative to identify and resolve issues independently Currently, Cart.com does not intend to hire candidates who will need, now or in the future, Cart.com sponsorship through any non-immigrant visa category such as the H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, or TN.
