Job title: Senior Cyber Professional
Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.
Salary: £54,793 + dependant on experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • Broad technical & security knowledge, including experience of application and cloud security
  • Understanding of government and industry security policy, standards and best practice
  • Experience defining and deploying cyber risk management strategies, and assessment methodologies. SbD experience a huge plus!

Desirable:

  • Prior experience of working in a multi-national environment, preferably in Defence/Gov
  • Experience managing, controlling and reporting project deliverables to senior management audiences
Responsibilities
  • Champion Secure by Design (SbD), developing new approaches, relationships and supporting culture to achieve continuous assurance
  • Support the Senior Lead and Head of Cyber Security to achieve team and organisational objectives
  • Steer the development and delivery of cyber security offerings whilst working to define and implement SbD within FCAS, and across GCAP
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current and future threats along with new and emerging technologies, systems, methods, and capabilities to influence future strategies/working practices
  • Support risk assessments and ongoing management, including cyber risks identified and owned by other teams
  • Develop and maintain strong trusting relationships cross-functionally within FCAS and the newly established Joint Venture (JV), contributing to the establishment and long-term success of the GCAP
  • Develop and maintain strong trusting relationships across the GCAP including Lead System Integrators (LSI) and Lead Sub-System Integrators (LSSI), international industry partners, and MODs
