Description
SAIC has new opportunities to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). These positions are 100%25 remote when not traveling. May require travel to other airports within the United States one week per month (subject to change). Job Responsibilities may include: Provide support to Flight Data Input/Output (FDIO) Second Level Engineering. Coordinate FDIO Modifications. Scheduling outages Developing transition plans Read site drawings. Install and validate hardware and software. Develop and present briefings to stakeholders. Cable fabrication and testing. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor of Arts/Science degree and 14+ years of experience. May accept additional experience or degrees. Knowledge of air traffic systems in the en route and terminal domains. Ability to communicate with various organizations within the FAA. Experience integrating work efforts involving decision support systems. Experience providing support and communications at operational field facilities during system upgrades. Skilled in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with cable paths and protocols (serial, Ethernet, Fiber). Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language. Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task. Detailed-oriented mindset and proficiency in researching and analyzing highly technical information and systems. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as, have the ability to identify and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of system investments Required Clearance: US Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust.
Responsibilities
The FDIO Site Implementation Leads Technician will provide support to Flight Data Input/Output Second Level Engineering and coordinate FDIO modifications. Responsibilities include scheduling outages, developing transition plans, installing and validating hardware and software, and presenting briefings to stakeholders.
