Description
SAIC is seeking engineers to provide Site Implementation support to the FAA Flight Data Input/Output (FDIO) Second Level Engineering organization. These positions are 100%25 remote when not traveling. Requires up to 30%25 travel within the United States. JOB RESPONSIBILITES MAY INCLUDE: Assisting with FDIO modifications. Reading site drawings. Installing and validating hardware and software. Cable fabrication and testing. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in engineering or related field and 9+ years of experience. May accept additional experience or degrees. Knowledge of computer hardware comparable to Comp TIA A+ certification. Knowledge of cable paths and protocols Skilled in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent organization and communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language. Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Excellent troubleshooting skills. REQUIRED CLEARANCE: US Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust.
Responsibilities
The technician will assist with FDIO modifications, read site drawings, and install and validate hardware and software. Additional responsibilities include cable fabrication and testing.
