As a Feature Strategy Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our software-defined vehicles by translating customer needs and business objectives into actionable technology strategies and compelling feature roadmaps. Your work will directly impact which innovative capabilities make it into our vehicles, ensuring they are delivered on the right platforms, at the right time, and with an optimal balance of cost and complexity. This position actively drives alignment and decision-making across critical functions. You will lead discussions and generate strategic artifacts with Digital Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, Vehicle Programs, Engineering, Research, and the Technology Platform teams. Your primary focus will be on defining and architecting cross-vehicle technology capabilities and experience bundles, ultimately owning the early-stage feature & technology roadmaps that deliver Ford's winning enterprise strategy for specific feature domains. Success in Feature Strategy requires strategic vision and foresight, cross-functional influence & collaboration, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, technical acumen and systems thinking, exceptional communication, product-mindedness, adaptability, and a bias for action. Connect new experiences and strategy into the corporate portfolio prioritization process. Collaborate with the various portfolio managers to ensure customer specific needs are met. Collaborate with the Digital Product Team to bring to life the Digital technology strategy. Collaborate with the Platform team to ensure the right hardware capability is included and the right APIs are on the roadmap. Gather and analyze inputs regarding vehicle-specific demand and corporate strategic new demand process to support prioritization activities. Support the development of vehicle architectures and full tech stack to enable world class experiences. Contribute to team modernization and transformation initiative, including adoption of JIRA to track full life-cycle of SW development process. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 2+ years of experience in digital focused systems including sensors, actuators, ECUs, software 2+ years with managing vehicle programs and the technology planning processes 2+ years of experience managing features from conception to launch, with the product delivering end-user experiences Demonstrated strong communication (oral and written) skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts to audiences of varying levels of technical understanding Project planning experience in JIRA or other Atlassian tools Systems engineering knowledge and capability Experience with in-vehicle architectures and their roadmaps, constraints, and complexity Ability to quickly synthesize information across a wide range of technical and business topics to inform strategic decisions Strong leadership skills - ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various organizational levels
