As a Construction Superintendent, you’ll play a key role within the on-site leadership to oversee and manage all aspects of the project. With your strong knowledge of construction means and methods, you’ll be in charge of coordinating and supervising both subcontractor and in-house resources to ensure the project is completed safely, efficiently, and within the specified timeframe and budget. You’ll work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of the project and adherence to quality standards and building codes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least five years of experience as a construction superintendent
  • Field construction experience required
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Experience with federal or public works construction projects is required
  • Experience leading and maintaining the highest level in construction safety practices
  • Ability to develop a detailed project schedule
  • Experience in both civil/ horizontal and building/ vertical construction
  • Ability to pass a background check to gain access to work on military bases

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient with computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the performance assessment plan is updated monthly
  • Coordinate with the QC Manager and certified inspectors to inspect all work and rework. Maintain a rework log. Must be building oriented.
  • Ensure that Contractor Production Reports are prepared daily.
  • Coordinate with the QC Manager to ensure that design and construction submittals are reviewed and approved prior to allowing material on site and work to proceed with these items.
  • Update As-built drawings daily, maintaining up-to-date set on site.
  • Perform Punch-out and Pre-final inspections and participate in Final Inspections. Correct all deficiencies prior to the Final inspection.
  • Coordinate with the QC Manager to ensure that all applicable tests, special inspections, and observations required by the contract are performed.
  • Review the P6 master project schedule and create the three-week look-ahead schedule. Present this schedule to the Client at weekly progress meetings.
  • Coordinate all jobsite work with the subcontractors. Schedule their arrivals and departures, coordinate work among various trades and subcontractors, and ensure crew performance.
  • Regularly communicate with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Safety Manager
