MetaPhase is seeking a Federal Financial Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in its Financial Systems Modernization (FSM) efforts. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data, improving data integrity, developing dashboard visualizations, and supporting modernization efforts of legacy data systems. It is expected that the Federal Analyst has knowledge of Federal IT financial practices.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU (REQUIRED):

  • 3-5 years experience in federal government consulting and data analysis.
  • Experience supporting a federal agency responsible for planning, budgeting, and reporting Federal Financial data.
  • Demonstrated success operating across tasks that can span business processes, data analysis, and financial process support.
  • Experience using a data visualization tools.
  • Possess strong functional, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent customer service skills and possess strong tenacity in meeting challenges and achieving results.
  • U.S. Citizenship required, DHS Suitability preferred or ability to obtain one.

CLEARANCE & EDUCATION:

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, document, analyze, and support data management efforts to improve data integrity for federal financial management.
  • Identify data anomalies and root causes and develop and apply strategies for data cleansing.
  • Validate and reconcile master and transactional data from legacy source systems.
  • Provides functional subject matter expertise for financial system processes.
  • Researches and recommends solutions for system or process improvements.
  • Conducts independent analysis, proposes solution alternatives, and executes steps to address business process gaps, data issues, and external interface challenges.
  • Develop documentation for business processes, data quality analysis, and functional design documents.
  • Engages in daily interactions with clients and project managers to align goals and deliverables.

In order to execute these duties effectively, individual must be able to:

  • Work independently, self motivated and the ability to drive and own tasks are preferred.
  • Have strong writing skills and should be able to communicate effectively and comfortably with all levels of client management.
  • Work well in a collaborative environment, and will be eager to learn new functional methods and subject matter and will be expected to serve as a lead for specific business process areas that are part of this implementation.
