Company Description CFAM Technologies, a manufacturer of world-class food and feed processing equipment is looking for a Food & Feed Extrusion Technician. We are passionate about food security and enable communities to utilize locally produced agricultural products to support food security through extrusion technology. We are looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated individual to join our team. Job Description Checking raw material quality for compliance Prepping extrusion machinery for product development and/or production Operating extrusion machinery such as Food Extruder Install, connect, test, and adjust equipment as needed Checking for product quality and ensuring the process is compliant Conduct product analysis Writing of extrusion technology reports Do recipe formulations for extrusion processes Maintaining the extrusion equipment Trouble shooting on product defect/non-compliance with quality standards Corrective actions for machinery not operating in good condition Be willing to travel for commissioning of extrusion plants Qualifications Degree in Consumer Sciences / Food Technology as an added advantage 2 years experience in Food / Feed Extrusion Technology Experience in Operating Extruder and/or extrusion plants Knowledge of Food/Feed Product Development Knowledge of procurement of food and feed extrusion raw materials Knowledge of food safety Additional Information Key skills required: Computer literacy – MS Office Suite Ability to use hand tools Strong written and verbal communication Demonstrates strong project management and time management skills. Ability to adhere to work schedule and meet deadlines Ability to perform work under pressure Ability to work with various clients and Adhere to health and safety regulations Problem solving skills

Responsibilities

The Feed and Food Extrusion Technician will be responsible for checking raw material quality, prepping and operating extrusion machinery, and conducting product analysis. They will also maintain equipment and troubleshoot any defects or non-compliance issues.
