Feed Commodity Merchandiser Essential Responsibilities: ALCIVIA is seeking a strategic and results-driven Feed Commodity Merchandiser to lead procurement and margin management efforts for direct-ship feed ingredients and bulk feed shipments. Based in Cottage Grove, WI, this role will collaborate across multiple business units and functions to optimize financial performance and market positioning. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in feed pricing and market dynamics, working closely with brokers, buying groups, commercial and producer accounts, and internal teams including sales, accounting, operations, logistics, and trading. Develop and execute proactive procurement strategies to establish competitive market advantages Communicate pricing and market opportunities to customers and internal sales teams Document and relay market data, pricing, and contract details to accounting for accurate recordkeeping Manage contract execution for both futures hedging and cash transactions Build and maintain a diverse network of business relationships across the industry Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of products via rail and truck transportation Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance standards Operate within ALCIVIA’s assigned risk parameters for the business unit Support leadership in business development initiatives and organizational change efforts Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Feed Commodity Merchandiser Required Skills & Qualifications: 1+ year of merchandising experience is required Bachelor’s degree required Willingness to learn and grow into the role Proven understanding of business operations and process optimization Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation capabilities Effective listening and sound decision-making skills Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence Self-motivated with a drive to exceed expectations Ability to assess objectives and recommend optimal solutions High level of integrity and alignment with core values Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols Find your place in a positive, supportive atmosphere where opportunity is always growing, with a team that believes in its mission.
