Description Delivery Driver (Class A/B CDL) – Feed Products ALCIVIA is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Delivery Driver with a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License to join our dedicated team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing high-quality feed products to our cooperative members and customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence while ensuring timely and efficient deliveries within the local area. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure the daily, on-time delivery of bulk and bagged feed products to members and customers in the local area. - Operate Class A or Class B CDL trucks for bulk deliveries, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. - Conduct deliveries of bagged feed using Class B CDL trucks equipped with appropriate loading and unloading equipment, such as forklifts or piggyback systems. - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. - Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues. - Assist with loading and unloading feed products, utilizing company equipment as needed. - Follow all safety protocols and company policies to promote a safe working environment. - Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly to ensure operational reliability. - Ensure trailer compartments are clean prior to loading new product, which may require climbing atop the truck using fall protection equipment. - Support feed mill operations and cross-divisional collaboration as needed. - Assist in other areas of the business based on operational needs. Skills and Qualifications: · High School diploma or GED. · Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). · Clean driving record. · Previous delivery experience with Class A or B CDL preferred. · Professional appearance and conduct representing the cooperative. · Basic computer and technology proficiency. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Exceptional customer service orientation. · Self-motivated with a proactive approach to task completion. · Ability to assess situations and recommend effective solutions. · Demonstrated integrity and accountability. · Resilience and ability to recover quickly from setbacks. · Excellent organizational and time management skills. · Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset. · Reliable attendance and punctuality. · Ability to operate trucks safely, obey traffic laws, and apply defensive driving techniques. · Physical capability to sit and drive for extended periods, enter/exit the truck frequently, and lift up to 60 lbs. · Willingness to work in outdoor and varying weather conditions.
