Description Job Summary A truck driver must exercise safe driving practices to insure their safety and the safety of the general public. A driver is responsible for loading and unloading their truck according to the established standard operating procedures to prevent cross-contamination of feed products. Truck driver must follow the directions of the supervisor and always maintain accurate paper work. In case of an accident, the truck driver must immediately contact the supervisor. The driver is responsible for compliance with Department of Transportation safety rules and regulations, all company, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. Essential Duties Deliver feed/products to and from the feed mill to production facilities and other destinations Inspect equipment before, during and after loading/unloading process Responsible for unloading the feed/truck load at the correct destination and correct bins/warehouse Accurately complete the required paperwork in a timely manner Follow biosecurity rules Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to the supervisor or maintenance technician Complete written feed delivery reports Additional Duties/other Perform other duties as assigned Typical work week Monday - Friday with avg. 45-50 hrs./week Requirements Job Qualifications Class A CDL A valid medical card Minimum two years driving experience required High school degree or equivalent Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material Must meet all DOT requirements and comply with DOT rules and regulations
