Description

Objective: The primary responsibility of a Feed Mill Driver is to load and deliver feed from the Feed Mill to the designated grower farms in a safe manner. Position Functions and Responsibilities: • Clear understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. • Must have at least 1 year commercial driving experience • Must have a clear MVR • Must be able to train to load own truck (occasionally) • Must be able to open and close the drop gates or feed trailer compartments Physical Demands and Work environment: • Work in a warm, dusty environment. • Work in a cold, moist environment. • Push and/or Pull heavy objects • Walk up and down multiple flights of stairs multiple times daily. • Have no fear of Heights. • Be able to stoop/bend, balance • Be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls • Be able to reach with hands/arms • Be able to withstand moderate to loud noises • Be able to sit for extended periods • Be able to lift/handle up to 50 pounds • Be physically qualified according to FMCSR • Be able to work overtime when needed Measurements of Performance: • Be dependable and honest. • Exhibit reliable attendance • Follow SOP's and GMP's as outlined by the facility • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities • Follow all Company policies and procedures, rules and regulations • Commitment to company values • Follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required PPE • Conducts relations in a professional manner
