Country View Family Farms is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Feed Mill Operator at our New Columbia, PA Feed Mill. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards and CVFF policies while overseeing feed inventories, maintaining cleanliness, and following SOPs for equipment operation. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer proficiency, and preferably, experience with forklifts. The position requires physical capability for lifting heavy items and working in diverse environmental conditions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform all duties in a safe manner consistent with CVFF policies, procedures and safety training. Monitor ingredient and finished feed inventories, as required. Maintain good housekeeping consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in assigned areas. Perform general labor duties as assigned by management. Ensure micro-bins are filled according to SOPs. Collect all required samples as defined in the Quality Assurance Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform all required testing as outlined in the SOPs. Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation. Monitor batching, pelleting, fat application, grinding and routing processes. Input information into computer automation system accurately. Operate equipment, automatically or manually, via computer automation consistent with procedures. Promote safe work practices through example and maintain a lost work day incident rate equal to zero. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualification Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) – (preferred) Feed Mill Experience (preferred) or related You are able to follow detailed instructions, task oriented and self-motivated. You are able to handle paperwork with accuracy. Previous forklift experience is preferred. Have good reading, writing, math and communication skills. Work well with others as a team. Have basic computer knowledge. Are able to swing a sledgehammer and carry 60 pound ingredient bags. Are able to work at heights and climb ladders, work in confined spaces and work in hot and cold environments.
