POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Feeder Operator to serve as an assistant to the Pressman, ensuring print jobs run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires understanding of business operations and alignment with department objectives to exceed customer expectations while maintaining high quality and operational standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training
  • Experience in printing or manufacturing environment preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing practices
  • Understanding of sheet-fed printing requirements
  • Basic mechanical ability for equipment adjustments
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data entry
  • Ability to use reporting software (SAP/PEAK experience preferred)
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for printing equipment

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret and translate designs and documentation
  • Color matching and defect detection capabilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow job tickets
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle paper rolls and sheets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Standing and walking 34-66% of work time
  • Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling of 10 lbs
  • Occasional lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent stair climbing, kneeling, crouching, and balancing
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work at elevated positions occasionally
  • Required to wear PPE (safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection)
  • Ability to read computer screens and operate various equipment

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work 8-hour shifts plus overtime as required
  • Flexibility to work alternate schedules including early mornings, nights, and weekends
  • Punctual attendance is essential
