Assembly & Test Technician – Prototyping (m/f/d)
In this role, you support our production teams with the assembly and testing of optical instruments for aerospace applications. You independently carry out mounting and alignment tasks, assist in preparing work activities, and ensure meticulous documentation throughout.

Your Tasks

  • Prepare and execute mechanical integration and testing activities in cleanrooms (ISO 5 & ISO 8)
  • Handle high-precision components and tools safely and professionally
  • Assist in the development of special tools for unique assembly scenarios
  • Create and maintain documentation, including as-run procedures, log sheets, and test reports
  • Coordinate closely with production planning, quality assurance, and engineering teams
  • Support test campaigns at external facilities across Europe

Your Qualifications

  • Completed technical training in mechanics (e.g. precision mechanics, apparatus construction, optics)
  • Practical experience as a mechanic or assembler in prototyping or similar areas
  • Structured, precise work style with strong motivation and commitment to project quality
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in international project contexts
  • Proficient English writing and speaking skills

Nice to have

  • Further qualification such as technician certification or master craftsman
  • Experience working with procedures and detailed reporting
  • Knowledge of integration and testing processes in aerospace sector
  • Experience in assembling and aligning optical systems in cleanroom environments
