The General Practitioner (GP) provides primary healthcare services, diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, managing chronic diseases, and promoting health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Conduct consultations, provide diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care.
Medical Records: Maintain accurate patient records in an EHR system.
Chronic Care Management: Monitor and manage long-term health conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
Health Promotion: Offer screenings, vaccinations, and wellness advice.
Emergency Care: Handle acute issues and refer patients when necessary.
Collaboration: Work with other healthcare providers for patient care.
Follow-Up: Track patient progress and ensure ongoing care.
Qualifications:
Education: Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completion of GP training.
Licensing: Active medical license and board certification (if applicable).
Skills: Strong diagnostic, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience: Previous experience in general practice preferred.
