JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care in accordance with individual care plans.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when needed. We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff.
  • Support residents with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Engage in regular communication with team members and families regarding resident care and progress.
  • Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safe transport.
