OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Complex care female Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting patients in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously while providing high-quality assistance to individuals in need.

SKILLS

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow care plans diligently and adapt to the needs of patients as they arise.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating within the healthcare team.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting patients when required.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • MUST BE ABLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING DUITES: Support includes nebulisation, creams, medications, and gastrostomy feeding. Staff should remain quietly in the room and attend to needs without disturbing her sleep unnecessarily.
  • Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any changes in condition.
  • Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal care and support for each patient.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to patient care.
