Ace Care is quickly growing and expanding its services across all regions of Melbourne.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER ROCKSTAR’S TO JOIN OUR GROWING SERVICES, REPORTING TO OUR OPERATIONS TEAM AND WORKING WITH OUR PARTICIPANTS/CLIENTS.

Assisting clients in their homes and in the community around the Melbourne Suburbs. This role will suit those who are self-motivated, organized and flexible.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have evident experience in Disability sector and the NDIS
  • Fluent and strong verbal and written communication
  • Up to date First Aid & CPR
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Own car with comprehensive insurance
  • Current Police Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screener Check
  • COVID-19 Infection Control Training
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
  • NDIS Module Certificate

Responsibilities

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Initiative to advocate for your clients to ensure the best level of care is provided.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Know how to organise and action daily tasks and schedules.
  • The ability to work under limited supervision

The Disability Support Worker’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Weekly attendance and providing support services to clients
  • Creating a positive client experience and adhering to NDIS compliance requirements.
  • Firm understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct, Incident Management and Quality and Safeguards practice standards;
  • Handling client issues/incident reporting to ensure they are managed in a timely and professional manner;
  • Understanding client NDIS Plans, goals and Care Plans, to ensure shift tasks are met;
  • Personal care, manual handling and medication administration;
  • Transport clients to appointments and community access, as per client requirements.
  • Supporting a client-centric culture and proactive approach;
  • Contributing to process documentation and continuous improvement activities
