ABOUT YOU

We have an exciting opportunity for a Female Disability Support Worker based in Helensvale QLD 4212 or the surrounding areas. We are looking for someone who is warm, friendly, respectful, and willing to learn. The ideal candidate truly cares for clients, is a great listener, and can maintain composure, even when the client exhibits challenging behaviors.
Strong relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders are essential, as is a genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities, including those with dementia and other complex disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Availability Monday to Sunday.
  • Assisting clients with social outings, visits to local shops, and community access.
  • Some personal care may be required.
  • Seeking a Female support worker with clear English communication skills.
  • Previous experience working with dementia clients and other complex disabilities.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability/Aged Care, or equivalent qualification (Mandatory).
  • Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate (Mandatory).
  • Experience working with clients with dementia (Preferred).
  • Experience working with clients with Alzheimer’s (Preferred).
  • National Police Check (Mandatory).
  • Own vehicle with comprehensive insurance (preferred but not essential).
  • Manual handling experience (preferred).
  • Administration of medication experience (preferred).
  • Current CPR certification (Annual).
  • Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) (Mandatory).
  • Current Australian Driver’s License (MUST).
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate (Mandatory).
  • ABN and Public Liability Insurance (Preferred).

    Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour
